Yes they do close for vacation, but I believe it already happened this year, but calling is always good
Only if it's cold where you are
Their liver and onions are the BEST! The filling is delicious and the chocolate cake with peanut butter is my #1!!
Best cream chipped beef over home fries! You can taste the butter! I can't believe I've lived in Lebanon for 14 years and never tried this place. Now I'm a regular.
This place was like home. Great portions for the price. Restaurant is clean and the waitress was a charm loved the delicious meal I received. It was Breakfast. I needed a box to take it out. I couldn't eat it all. Made the way I LIKE IT. I DO RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
Great home cooking and specials. Service was excellent.
The food is always good and the staff is friendly
Cozy restaurant with great food and fair prices.
Good price, good food. A family restaurant.
Quaint, but very friendly. Great prices. Delicious shofly pie.
The waitress was so bad I was motivated to leave a review. Eggs were runny, sausage had no flavor whatsoever and the toast was smeared with margarine, gross. If you don’t like your job find another one, there’s your tip.
Very good food & friendly Waitress!!
It's been some time since we have been here. Place has changed. Clean, freshly painted friendly and delicious! Great pies!😃
Waitresss were friendly food was pretty good
The classic Coca-Cola sign caught my eye and me and my friend decided to investigate. With 0 research, the sign places it at least 30 or 40 years old.I got a beef bbq sandwich (sloppy joe), fresh cut fries, macaroni salad and a diet coke. My meal was around $11.Everything was excellent and I'm normally indifferent towards macaroni salad. The entire restaurant was exceptionally clean and the staff very friendly. This place was originally a service station back when the school behind it was functional and gas pumps were gravity-fed. I think it's been in the same family the entire time. Take a look at the pictures, knick nacks and talk to the staff!
A great place for breakfast, the price is reasonable but not for other meals
Great food 👍☺️
Basic cooking. A bit pricey for what you actually get. Not really impressed.
I will give them a 4 only because I came here as a regular many years ago. It's a locals joint. Everyone knows everyone and that makes for a good place to feel welcomed. They are the same old place they always have been perhaps they will remain this way. It reminds me of how after you leave home and you go back your still welcomed and all have a good time. Nothing really changes much sometimes.its ok. If they like being a local hangout and hey they have people then it's fine with me. Its clean with wear. Dishes old too but clean. People could not be more pleasant and they make a stranger feel at one with the others. Tuna sandwiches, soups, fries, burgers, lots of diner choices. It's really pleasant and good.
Breakfast is great here. You can modify (no onions, etc.) your order as you wish. Three egg omelet was great. Wait staff was very attentive. Call ahead if you plan to bring a big party.
Best place for food and value
Great prices, food and service.
Very impressive breakfast lineup!
This is a cute little family restaurant. Food was good but the place is packed on a Sunday. Go early or go late.
One of the great, classic restaurants. The potato filling is spectacular and could be the best thing ever made.
Highly recommend. Great food, relaxing atmosphere. Great go-to restaurant for breakfast!
The Real Deal in Home Cooking. My Favotites are The Baked Haddock on Fridays and Sunday's, Grilled Hamsteak, Turkey, Chopped Steak. The Pie is Home made. You Must Try Schwalm's in Cleona.
Have been coming here for the baked haddock homemade macaroni and cheese and stewed tomatoes every Friday since I was a kid. Consistently good food, Pleasant service... Don't change a thing!
Breakfast here is always great, and cheap, they have very old pitchers on the walls from surrounding areas.
Excellent food at an affordable price, well worth the stop.
Family owned PA Dutch selections done well. A regular pit stop for us, soup and a sandwich or maybe fish dinner on a Friday!
Home like comfort food, family atmosphere,
Drive past this place for 25 years every day going to work and back, only live a few miles away even. Stopped in for the first time, for breakfast. Very good for a little diner. Not fancy, just the essentials, but they did everything right - staff, food, pricing - all comes together like a small neighborhood diner should. I've now added this stop as part of my monthly breakfast tour which now stands at 7 different establishments. I take my breakfast stops seriously, so kudos for making the list Schwalms!!
Schwalms. What negative can I say about them. Oh wait, they dont serve their fish everyday. Great place. Great food. Great service. Great prices.
Homestyle platters, very good. Schwalms is small, so waiting may be in your visit. Worth the wait, though.
Food was good. Service was fast. Price was fantastic.
Great place for breakfast with fair pricing. The place feels a little small, but its made up for by the exceptional food they cook. I'd recommend the chipped beef for breakfast.
Been going there for years. Good cheap food.
Nope not happy with service they cater to their own regular customers and to heck with new comers not friendly at all.
Great portions, good prices a Cleona institution. A family business into its third generation. You can’t go wrong on the menu. Personally one of my favorites is the filling. Reuben sandwiches are excellent. The homemade desserts made fresh daily are the best around. You can still get a real cherry coke here as well. Parking in rear Don’t try to park and cross 422 for some reason people keep getting hit by cars when there is a nice lot in the back!
Great food and friendly people
Friendly small town restaurant. Excellent comfort food. Great value, great service.
Always freshly made food with a nice staff. A lot of food for a small price
Breakfast was especially good this morning.
Home cooking and the place hadn't changed much since we were there 20 years ago! Salisbury steak was good and we love the delicious potato filling.
Always good food. Wait staff is great. Patrons are friendly.
Not what I expected (or hoped for I should say). I was hoping for a nice place to eat close to home. Not sure I'd go back.
Some of the customers are rude and seem to want to start trouble,or they can't control their kids ,they get something from the deli that should remain cold , change their mind and put it on a shelf. They open bags of candy for their kids and put the bag back on the shelf.I don't know where they learned these things because we certainly didn't do things like that in Lebanon, actually if there was clothes on the floor we picked it up and put it across the rack, so no one would trip and it wouldn't get ruined and that's what kept prices down
Good food, decent prices, good service
It is a local restaurant where locals go to eat. The food is good and the service is nice. it is not fancy but it is good. If you go, be sure to get one of their milkshakes, they are the best!!
They have a good breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. It is small but cozy and friendly atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. If your looking for gourmet food this is not your place. If you looking for some good comfort food than this is your place. They have great homemade cakes and pies. They have daily lunch and dinner specials. There pricing is reasonable.
Good portion size and inexpensive. Just never order a steak here. Otherwise it is a really nice place.
